How Do We Manage Consolidation Projects for Construction Projects in Iraq?

 

 

An Iraqi construction company planning to start a new 120-room hotel project aims to source the required construction materials from different manufacturers in Turkey. Ceramic products will be supplied from Kütahya, steel doors from Kayseri, paint products from Bursa, electrical materials from Istanbul, and bathroom fixtures from Izmir. Since all manufacturers are located in different cities, each supplier has its own production schedule, loading dates, and shipment planning process. This requires the simultaneous management of numerous communications, separate documentation procedures, and different logistics arrangements.         Once all deliveries are completed according to the planned schedule, the collected shipments are consolidated into a single logistics operation and prepared for transportation to Iraq. Through consolidation, the operational process becomes more efficient, while logistics planning gains a more organized and cost-effective structure. The customer can track the status of all orders through one communication channel, while manufacturers continue their production and delivery processes according to the established schedule. This enables the required materials for the project site to be delivered at the right time and through a planned logistics organization.
